Hello! My name is Teretha Lewis and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I completed my Master of Social Work Degree with specialization in mental health from Loyola University Chicago.  In addition, I hold specialized licenses as a Sex Offender Evaluator, and Sex Offender Treatment Provider.  For most of my career I have worked in various settings within the therapeutic community with individuals who have experienced trauma and are struggling to manage their daily lives.

My counseling style is warm and interactive that provides my clients with a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental safe place to speak about the daily challenges where you can truly be yourself, are accepted and feel heard.  I believe the therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist is essential for the growing process.

In my work my goal is to assist my clients to develop greater insight and effective strategies to manage stressful and distressing situations in their lives. Because no single treatment is suited for all, I tailor our sessions with your unique values and needs.  I believe therapy can be one of the most healing technique for someone to overcome challenges in their lives. 

I specialize in Complex Trauma.  I am especially interested in childhood and sexual trauma.  In addition, I specialize in working with children/adolescents who exhibit sexually reactive behavior.
